What jumped out at me?
Verse 5 – 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
Why It Jumped Out?
This jumped out because the spiritual climate appears wiry, active and seemingly unpredictable from day to day. Seeing the spiritual manifestations occur in the common land can cause people to be overwhelmed, frustrated or fearful. Paul offers a settling, directional advise and provides instruction about how the young minister should respond.
How this changes my life
I need to keep God first in my life and prompt my loved ones to do the same. Additionally, I am to focus and trust God who will bring me through every challenge. In Him, I can keep my head. Importantly, I am to release that which God has deposited in me through my ministry. To whom much is given…. Even in the midst of trials, tribulations, whirlwinds, God is Able to speak, answer prayers and accomplish His desires, in the lives of people.
Prayer
- God, Thank You. I am to be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord as my labor is not in vain. He has established me in His Kingdom, so In Him, I live, move and have my being. Therefore, God, use me to make the deposits you desire. Use me to influence and speak your Word. Open our hearts, eyes and ears that we may see. Seek and serve you in a way that is pleasing and acceptable in your sight. Thank you, God.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
