Hebrews 11

What jumped out at me?

Verse 25:   He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.

Why it Jumped Out

Admirable, Moses truly chose the greater treasures of life versus the treasures and privileges of the world. Through the Word, He is remembered as a pillar of faiths because he denied his privilege, denied Himself, turned the other cheek in order to follow and please God.

How this changes my life

  • I am reminded that though I am comfortable, God brought me through suffering and sent people to comfort me. I am to visit the sick, homeless, poor and suffering and not only peruse acquaintances of the privy.

Prayer

  • Father, thank you for your Word and Holy Spirit who guides us into righteousness. God you remind us that to be great in your Kingdom, we are to serve. Thank you for the example of Moses and Jesus who did not prefer the comforts of life, but that your Will would be done. May Your Will be done and thank you for never leaving us. I humble myself, even now.

In Jesus Name,

Amen.
