Revelation 10
What jumped out at me?
Verse 5: 5 Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven. 6 And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, “There will be no more delay! 7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”
Why it Jumped Out
This Scripture reminded me that God can see the past, present, and future from His view and that He works in His own timing. In verse 6, He used “forever and ever”, along with “no more delay”. In verse 7 jumped especially because the mystery of God will be accomplished. Though we are “healed by His Stripes”, there is more for God to do in order to fulfill or accomplish His Great Mystery. Fascinating.
How this changes my life
- I don’t need to always see instant results to everything. He is worthy of waiting for and He knows how to accomplish and fulfill. He is already our faithful reward and rewarder in His own time.
Prayer
- Father, thank you for Your Holy Word. Thank you that you are long-suffering towards us. Thank you that you love us so much you defeated the devil through Jesus Christ. Lord, have mercy on us as truthfully it is a pleasure to wait for you, and not always a burden. Thank you that you are more than worthy of not only our patience, but our lives. Thank you for the promise, that the mystery of God will be fulfilled in your time. Be pleased with us O’Lord, our Rock and Redeemer.
