Philippians 3

What jumped out at me?

Verse 7:   But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

Why it Jumped Out

Previously, while not knowing the Spirit of God, I was consumed by flesh consumption as well as the consumption of the flesh, unbeknownst to me. During this invisible war, fleshly achievements became paramount and instances of rememberable “success” for future verbal display. Paul’s religious “dung” became repugnant. My carnal “dung” is repugnant.

How this changes my life

  • Christ is truly my treasure, and my reward is in Him. In some ways I have nothing except Christ. In other ways I have everything because of Christ. I too value my relationship with Christ more than anything or even anyone, even myself. This changes my life by regularly prompting me to share my faith, pray with others, cover people with the Word of God and encourage them embrace a fuller relationship. I can’t help it. I feel commissioned to do so.

Prayer

  • Father, thank you your love, and the propitiation for sin. You rescued us from an awful destination, and you allowed us to experience You while in the flesh. I am thankful that there is no comparison between You and the flesh. You are Higher. So, I adore you, lift you up and find my health, wealth, satisfaction, joy, pleasure and desires in you. Thank you.

In Jesus Name,

Amen.
